1. Inspired by Dr. Joshua Bogunjoko, then international director of SIM, AfriGO was launched in 2016 to champion the African mission’s movement. This quarterly magazine, along with daily social media updates and a resource-rich website, encourages the African Church to send, support, and pray for African missionaries.

AfriGO highlights the often-untold stories of African missionaries, serving as a powerful mobilizing tool. To inspire greater missions involvement among Pastors and church memeber, funds are needed for printing and distribution. While the magazine is primarily in English, efforts are underway to translate it into Swahili, Portuguese, and French—languages that lack sufficient missions’ materials. Additional funding will enable these translations and expand accessibility. Topics like finance, training, and the pastor’s crucial role in missions are addressed from an African perspective.

AfriGO magazine is distributed quarterly and downloaded in over 38 African countries and worldwide. Each issue covers vital topics for the African missions movement, featuring reflections, reports, and training. Daily social media posts reinforce the magazine’s message, offering followers online and local missions’ resources, along with stories from the mission field.

The AfriGO team believes that sharing African missionaries’ stories is the best way to inspire young people to heed God’s call to reach the lost. These stories also testify to the tremendous sacrifices made by these workers across the continent and the globe. They aim to spread awareness of God’s mission for the African Church, now a leading force in the global missions movement.
