Read of God’s work through the people and ministries of SIM in Southern Africa and around the world! Our latest issue of SIMnow is available in our News section.

This issue features a close focus on three ministry areas of significant need: bearing a “Faithful Witness” to Christ where He is least known; helping refugees find safety, healing, and eternal hope; and the fight against human trafficking. These articles were contributed by leaders of those ministries during the home assignment of our communications manager, who compiled the magazine quickly once he returned to field duties. We are grateful that the Lord provided a way for this issue to be completed on schedule despite his absence.

While some of the articles deal with SIM’s work in other places around the world, some touch on ministries here in South Africa. SIM South Africa missionary Chris Maphosa has long helped children through the “Today for Tomorrow” programme that he leads in South Africa and neighbouring countries. Likewise, SIM South Africa missionaries Katie Eto and Tracy Elliott work with children and their families through the “4THE1” programme in Sir Lowry’s Pass Village, east of Cape Town.

Additionally:

  • long-serving SIM South Africa missionary Victor Fredlund explains why he wrote Ngithume Nkosi: Lord, Send Me
  • SIM South Africa Corporate Services Manager Chantal Lengeveldt shares about the mission house in Cape Town
  • SIM International Director Phil Bauman contributed his thoughts for our regular “Why Missions?” feature
  • our three “house ads” continue to encourage people to PrayGive, and Go.

We hope this magazine encourages and inspires you and anyone else with whom you might share it—especially to consider how God is calling you to participate in the Great Commission.

As always, thank you for your prayers and support for us and the work entrusted to us by our Lord.
